CAPACITANCE:
Capacitance is an element in which energy is stored in the form of "electro static field" is known as "capacitance".
It is denoted by 'c'.It is measured in "Farad".
The figure shows a
capacitor the voltage across it is time varying V(t) and current through and is
also current varying for a capacitor.
The current through proportionality
rate of change of voltage across it.
i(t)á½±(
dV(t)/dt) - Amp
Where 'C' is capacitance and it is
proportionality constant.
·
Power is given by the capacitor
P=V(t)*i(t) -
watts
·
Energy is given by the capacitor
W=(1/2)CV^2(t) - Joules
