LOOP
ANALYSIS(or)MESH ANALYSIS:
consider following
network shown in figure .There are two loop's. So assuming two loop current's
has i1 and i2.
Consider loop ABEFA:
V1-V3-V4=0
V1-V3-V4=0
V1-i1*R1-(i1-i2)R3=0
-i*R1-i1*R3+i1*R3=-V1
V1=i1(R1+R3)-i2*R3...........1 equation
Consider loop BCDEB:
-V5-V2+V4=0
-i2*R2=-V2+R3(i1-i2)=0
V2=-i2(R2+R3)+R3*i1
..........2 equation
By solving above equation's any
unknown branch currents can be determine.
Point's
to remember for loop analysis:
(i)While assuming loop current
make sure that at least one loop current links with every element.
(ii)No two loop's should be
identical.
(iii)Choose minimum number of
loop current.
(iv)If current in a particular
branch then required then try to choose loop current in such a way that only
one loop current links with the branch.
