VOLTAGE DIVISION RULE

VOLTAGE DIVISION RULE IN SERIES CIRCUIT OF RESISTANCES:

·         When two resistances are R1 and R2 are connected in series across to supply voltage 'V' volts .When then flow of current is 'i' amperes.

V=V1+V2

V=iR1+iR2

V=i(R1+R2)

i=V/(R1+R2)

V1=iR1=(V/(R1+R2))*R1

V2=iR2=v*(R2/(R1+R2))
